I would just like to take this opportunity to advise you that I called Driveaway today with quite a difficult car hire scenario and I was given the outstanding service and help from Jane. She went out of her way to find me the best solution for my clients problem as we were trying to avoid a large drop off fee between Canada and the states. We deal with so many wholesalers each day and most days we're so frustrated by the lack of help we get from different people who only have one product to know when we have so many products to know. Just a short note to say thank you for your assistance with the car hire. All went very well, no problems with the pick up and drop off. They upgraded me to a consul diesel, I drove around the car park 10 times to get used to the other side of the road :). The staff were very helpful and overall an easy and good experience. I ended up uploading Navigon GPS onto my iphone 4 and it took me into the centre of Barcelona and Paris without a hitch. So please pass on my thanks to your Sydney staff for a job well done. Regards. I hired a Ford Focus via Driveaway, with Avis as the supplier. Everything about the hire was entirely satisfactory, except that the car's instruction manual was missing. I pointed this out to the Heathrow people, before I left the depot, and they noted it on the car condition chart. It did not present me with any problems, although opening the engine bonnet proved a bit of a challenge because the Ford Focus has an unusual system for that, with a lock hidden behind the emblem. So this is not a complaint - just an observation. I was pleased to see that the hire cost via Driveaway was lower than booking with Avis, even using a 'preferred customer' number. I've had the same experience before, with car hire in Europe. Thankyou for your very good service, Henry.

I would certainly hire a car through DriveAway Holidays (Red Spot) again – not only because of the competitive rates but also the ease of online bookings. Upon arrival in Melbourne the very pleasant and helpful lady at Melbourne Airport who got us sorted with our paperwork etc. to the car (which was immaculately presented) and the ease of drop off at the end of our trip – there was never a problem. Car Hire exactly as planned - Peugeot 308 instead of Ford Focus probably an improvement. Prefer to deal through an Australian company - your prices at least match any others on the Web with the advantage of a "Plain English" contract. Cheers, Geoff.

I am writing to say WOW, what a fantastic company you are. The service is outstanding. I have hired a vehicle from you twice now, the second rental involving a few changes, which have required me to have several conversations at different times. Each time I have spoken to the staff they have been very friendly and helpful. I have never come across a company who is so willing to help the consumer, your prices are fantastic and really do give the best price. All changes to you rental agreement are dealt with instantly and communication is second to none. I can't praise Driveaway enough on their service, it has really blown me away. Just back today and left the GPS unit with your dad. Pleased to say it all went okay when I finally found about putting the small card inside the larger one. After that I found from the Garmin website that you needed to let the satellite search for you for about 3 minutes before anything started to work. From then on we were fine. Thanks again for your assistance in every way with this. I’d be happy to call again when we need another car. We lucked in with brand new BMW 118 with less that 100km on the clock which was nice! Thanks for your email of Mar 17th. Yes we were very happy with the service at Barcelona Airport. We received very prompt service at the desk where we were upgraded to a VW Golf Diesel (a very nice car) They had a rep. in the car park area to assist and very importantly he gave us photographs of all the signs to follow to find our way back to the new huge Terminal 1. He could have warned us to keep off the freeways as that cost us a bomb in toll fees ,but that's not his job. All in all a very satisfied customer. Dave.

I've just returned from a six-week trip to Europe and South-East Asia, booking pretty much everything online...Without question, the simplest, most reliable bookings were those done through your website. I booked cars in England (twice), France and Scotland using your site, and it was quick and clean. The cars were what were expected, the charges were billed clearly. I did try to book one of the UK cars locally, but gave up after being faced with a website of such labyrinthine complexity that Dan Brown should write a novel about it. Instead, I logged on to Driveaway.com.au and booked it through you. Easy. So, simply, thanks! Chris.

…Through no fault of our own (motorway closure in the UK because of a fatality) we missed our Ryanair flight from Stansted to Trieste. We were unable to get another flight on the same day to Trieste but instead flew to Venice. We rang Australia to change our car pick-up (Europcar couldn't do it because it was a Driveaway booking) but as it was after hours here the call was re-directed to the USA. Fortunately, we spoke to Kyle (don't know his last name) who was really helpful. He changed the pick-up to Venice (Marco Polo). [I was told by the Ryanair salesperson only that we were flying to Venice & knew that Marco Polo was their airport]. Some time later, I saw our flight on the departure board showing Venice- Treviso. A check with Ryanair confirmed that we weren't flying to Marco Polo. After some mild panic, we rang again & explained the problem to a girl in Driveway in the USA. She located Kyle for us & he again very cheerfully changed the pick-up to Venice-Treviso. He also gave us the booking number & assured us that there would be someone at Europcar (Treviso) even though we didn't arrive until after 11:00pm. We (there were 4 of us) were really impressed by the service & especially with Kyle's "it's no problem" attitude. If Kyle is typical of Driveaway then it's certainly a good company. We won't be going overseas for at least 18 months but if we do need to hire a car it will certainly be through Driveaway.

The Hertz organisation did not have one query on the Voucher which I found amazing from past experience. Thank you for your excellent service in arranging the rental car in the UK. Despite having a minor problem - the rental agency's problem, not Driveaway - your follow-up service and advice was first class. Your advice on the issue proved to be correct and the issue was resolved. The car we had booked was not available so the rental agency provided us with an equivalent that more than met our expectations. The driving was great and we were impressed by the fuel efficiency of a diesel engine. Altogether, dealing with Driveaway was the best move we made and contributed greatly to a fantastic holiday. I was visiting a client today, also involved in the Travel and Tourism industry, and we were discussing the changing nature of travel in respect to online booking etc. Obviously we don't discuss who our clients are but he independently brought Drive Away up as a benchmark for the industry.
