Travelling in San Sebastian with a Rental Car

San Sebastian is an amazing city and can be explored with your rental car. You are able to collect your car hire from the San Sebastian airport located 20 kilometres from the city centre. Our suppliers also have depots located throughout the city and the railway station.

Take your car rental to the most popular beaches which are the Playa De La Concha located on the west side and the Playa De La Zurriola located on the east side. The La Concha is the largest beach and is popular for watersports. Take a stroll along the beaches and escape from it all.

Visit the Cathedral Del Buen Pastor, a neo-gothic style building dating back to 1889. It is the biggest church in San Sebastian with a tower reaching  75 metres. The details are astonishing and the interior is just as magical. The cathedral is framed with an enchanting landscaped garden which offers a great walk around the building.

Mount Igueldo located west of the town is the best way to view the spectacular landscape. You can travel up the mountain in the old fashioned railway with breathtaking views of the surrounding coastline and mountains. While you are here check out the Mount Igueldo Amusement park. The park is filled with rides, restaurants, and a great view of the lighthouse that is located below. A fun day out for all the family!

Traditional festivals and events are celebrated in San Sebastian throughout the year. The main celebration is San Sebastian Day celebrated on the 20th of January. This festival happens throughout San Sebastian, with hundreds of different marching bands parading the streets. This festival continues for 24 hours with lots of activities and parties through the night.
