The newly upgraded International Terminal at Brisbane Airport now boasts a themed departures lounge, walkthrough duty free stores for departures and arrivals, specialty retail stores and food & drink stands, as well as three new airline lounges and a day spa. Both terminal buildings are very modern and have great facilities. There are also a couple of petrol stations within close proximity to the airport – a 24 hour Shell located within the Brisbane Airport service centre or a BP service station 10 minutes’ drive from the airport. The roads leading into Brisbane airport have also been updated, and you can make your way to the Gateway Motorway very easily. This motorway takes you north or south.
Brisbane Airport has two terminals (domestic & international), located approximately 1km apart.

International Terminal - Hosts all international flights, is divided into 4 levels:
When booking your Brisbane Airport car rental, take note of on airport and off airport suppliers. On airport suppliers have desks located within the terminal and is a quick and efficient option. Off airport suppliers will generally provide a shuttle from the airport to the office (5-10 minutes) and is a cheaper alternative but will lengthen the time it takes to collect your rental.
Our on airport suppliers are conveniently located within each terminal of Brisbane Airport, so once you hop off your flight simply head towards your chosen supplier’s counter. For international arrivals, the car rental customer service desks are located on level 2. And for domestic arrivals the service desks are located on level 1.
Many people do not realise just how cost-effective hiring a car can be. While taxis, shuttles and transfer services seem like the most obvious option, they are definitely not the cheapest! A one way transfer from Brisbane Airport to the CBD starts from $20 per person. For a family for four that is already $80 for a 20 minute transfer. You can hire a car in Brisbane for as little as $36 per day, with the added freedom of creating your own self-drive adventure!
The Brisbane Airtrain is a popular option for those travelling from Brisbane Airport to the CBD or Gold Coast. It’s great if you’re travelling solo but can turn out to be quite expensive for more than one person. The cost per person is over $30 return to Brisbane or nearly $70 return to Gold Coast. Once you do the maths, if travelling with more than one person it’s much cheaper and more convenient to rent a car.
