Sydney - Wollongong - Kiama – Nowra

Duration: 180km – 2 hrs 45mins

After heading south of Sydney along the Princes Highway, make your way along the scenic roads of the Royal National Park. Soak up breathtaking views of ancient bushland and other beautiful sights before joining the Grand Pacific Drive. Home to spectacular ocean vistas, the drive meanders past Stanwell Park’s Bald Hill Lookout, along the iconic Sea Cliff Bridge and into the city of Wollongong. Make your way to one of Wollongong’s beachside cafes to enjoy a coffee break with a view. From Wollongong, continue on south to Kiama, home of the Kiama Blowhole. Watch on as impressive plumes of water erupt high into the sky from the natural formation, before paying a visit to one of the coastal town’s popular eateries or the nearby lighthouse. After exploring Kiama, jump back in the car and make the journey to Nowra, passing by sandy beaches and rolling hills. Once in Nowra, spend the evening relaxing in preparation of the day ahead.

NSW Sydney to Melbourne Coastal Drive

Nowra - Jervis Bay - Ulladulla - Batemans Bay

Duration: 180km – 2 hrs 40mins

Start the day with a hearty breakfast at one of Nowra’s many cafes before setting out on the journey to Jervis Bay. Once in Jervis Bay, make the most of the area’s natural beauty by venturing into the Jervis Bay National Park, enjoying a guided dolphin cruise or feeling pristine white sands between your toes at the nearby Hyams Beach. From Jervis Bay, head back out on the Princes Highway and savour the beautiful scenery leading to Ulladulla, including sleepy townships, national parks and state forests. After stopping in Ulladulla, make your way to the town’s harbour and sink your teeth into a serve of fresh fish and chips. After spending time in Ulladulla, head 40 minutes south to Batemans Bay and indulge in fresh produce harvested in the area. Take a dip in the ocean, meet the kangaroos of Pebbly Beach or explore the Murramarang National Park before settling in for the night.

Batemans Bay - Bega – Eden - Melbourne

Duration: 753km – 9 hrs 15mins

Only 10 minutes from Batemans Bay, the small town of Mogo offers plenty of great ways to start the day. Spend time browsing eclectic boutiques or come to face to face with the menagerie of animals housed within the Mogo Zoo. From Mogo, drive on to Tilba Tilba and see the historic buildings that line the village’s streets or sample fine cheeses crafted in the local area. Passing through villages oozing with old world charm, make the journey from Tilba Tilba to Bega. Get active with a spot of swimming, surfing or bushwalking within the Mimosa Rocks National Park or unwind with a glass of locally produced wine in hand. Passing through coastal village of Pambula, continue on south to Bega and uncover the long and fascinating history of whales in the area at the Eden Killer Whale Museum. From Eden, you can choose to follow the scenic coastal drive across the Victorian border and towards Melbourne.
